I decided to try and help varsaigen with his fleet of derelict ships. So I got blender, and it melted my brain for a few minutes.

Now going to bed so it doesn't finish the job.

Its been years since I did airfix, good times but just not enough patience (iirc there is still a 3/4 finished backfire at my parents lol)

Yeah, I remember doing a bunch of them as a kid (in fact, I think I may have had the world's 37th largest Air Force in my room at some stage...

), but patience was the thing I really lacked, and why a lot of them had paintjobs of sub-par quality.

I've finished the model and currently waiting on 'Glossy Sea Blue' paint to start the bulk of the painting work. In the meantime, I've done first and second coat black paint on the wheels, propeller, and a strip going from the top of the engine cowling to the start of the cockpit.

I've also got to start using sprays instead of brushes.

My computer made a weird noise and I freaked out 'cause I thought it was the hard drive dying. After opening it up, it turned out it was the DVD drive that made the sound. The whole thing was caked in dust, so I spent the rest of the morning cleaning it out.
