I don't recall anything going wrong with the public transport. Though I was staying in camp last night, come to think of it.

I decided that I'm gonna make my Orpheus IMBA. Though, not exactly sure what skills I'm gonna stick on him atm.

It usually takes me about 90 minutes to travel from my house at Bedok South to Ngee Ann Polytechnic. If I add an extra five minutes of travelling time, I will reach school about 15 minutes early. There were quite a number of contributing factors that made me 3 minutes late today, and the very first was my own mistake.

1. I spent too much time reading the newspaper searching for a fake obituary posted by the Traffic Police - ten minutes wasted;
2. The nearest lift was undergoing maintenance, so I went down two floors to take a lift at the common corridor - one minute wasted;
3. The lift I chose had somebody riding it from a floor higher up and I pressed the button one second too late - two minutes wasted;
4. When the lift finally came up and ferried me down, I saw a bus at my bus-stop leaving, heading in the direction of Tanah Merah station, which was where I was going, so I had to wait for the next one - ten minutes wasted;
5. Some moron decided to get out of his van at a traffic junction and held the bus up as a result - two minutes wasted;
6. Because the bus was held up, I missed the train by two minutes, so I had to wait for the next train, and the next train was running slow - eight minutes wasted;
7. After finally getting on board a train at Tanah Merah and alighting at Clementi, I got out of the latter only to see Service 184, which would have taken me to Ngee Ann Polytechnic, leaving the bus-stop at the station. I had to wait for Service 154 and spend two additional cents as a result - four minutes wasted.
