I'll pass on getting drunk. There can be only one Dekker! I'm more of the quiet dudes, who happens to be really smart and awesome.

I find it really easy to get people to like me, just be charming and make some awesome landscapes on my computer. If I knew how to make Bitmaps into JPEGS; I would post my pictures.

Project Rainstorm and Codename Exile fleet is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to my imagination.  ;)

For eight hours a day, I have a speaker strapped to my left ear, usually with someone shouting from the other end of the phone line through it.  Somehow though, tonight, it's my right ear ringing to the point of uselessness.  My hope is that this means that the bones of my middle ear are fusing, so that when I do lose all sense of hearing in one or both ears, my employer will have to reasonably accomodate me by finding something for me to do, besides taking calls.

So, just realized that in all the new seats in the most recently remodelled lecture hall at my Uni have outlets in the side of every seat. Modernization for the win! Now I can game on my laptop in class without the battery dying!

On a related note, snowstorm started on  the way to class. Finished driving through it and got to class, but might be fun getting back to my apartment.

Took the opportunity today to enjoy some damn-near perfect driving conditions in the mountains today.  My new tires clearly came with excess tread that needed to be burned off.  I also found the strip of tarmac used for local hillclimb events.  It's a pretty nice stretch of road, but there's a lot of crap left over from autumn that still needs to be washed off the pavement by the coming spring storms.

Had a moment of "I am mildly awesome!" in the last hour. Found two old 17" 4:3 LCD screens of the same model. One had a shot power supply. The other had a dead backlight. Cobbled the two together, and got one working screen..... almost. I must have a wire in backwards, because it does work, but gives weird issues with green static in dark areas/gradients.

So now to pull it back apart and play with some wires. But probably not tonight. For now, it works fine as a secondary screen/linux box screen.

EDIT: Or not. Seems to have stopped being weird. Possibly a side effect of the fact that they were sitting outside in -10 C weather.  :p
