I'm no expert but my experience in simple terms is

love is a feeling of attachment to someone or something
arousal is a feeling of desire for someone or something
Infatuation is a focus on someone or something to the detriment of everything else

Love and/or arousal can become Infatuation and a small degree of infatuation is common early into relationships but often subsides after a while. Long term fixation on the other hand is a problem

Is infatuation the same as "having a crush" on someone?

It certainly can be thought of like that, most crushes probably fall at the lower end of infatuation in that the object of the infatuation dominates your thoughts and interfere with day to day life but usually in a minor way (often the biggest issue is annoying mates with your constant babbling about your crush, decline in your productivity and small but noticeable changes in your demeanour) though in extreme cases can certainly reach full blow debilitating infatuation.

Discovered today that the commandant for Fort Benning's recruit program is "Colonel Decker".

Not sure whether good thing or terrible.

all three are the same thing in my book. probibly why i had so many destructive relationships. the sex was awesome though.

Saw Looper in the weekend. A blast of a movie! Really awesome film, in every conceivable direction. Highly recommended to the few that haven't seen it yet.

Just found out that the mum of the friend who's house I crashed at on saturday, had a stroke while out shopping. She should be alright, but it's strange considering that I was talking and joking with her just yesterday.

my bass aspirations may be doomed. i might not have the finger span. getting from the first to third fret is SEVERELY stretching my reach, even using my pinkie.

it helps to have stubby hands and fat fingers i hear. i never met a bass player that didnt. i have the same problem with my guitar.

i'd classify them more as spindly than stubby. and soft. i just have fairly girlish hands

Having fat fingers might hurt less at least. I played cello though, so what do I know...
