That game made me cry. And not in the d'awwww way.

In other news, got X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance working on a Win XP virtual machine with zero slowdown. XWA even has the XWAUpgrade Craft Pack installed. On top of that, I got PPJoy and GlovePIE working together so I can use the mouse. For the cherry on top, I found a mouse script that replicates the Freespace 2 feel almost completely. Now if only there were keys for Roll Left and Roll Right, I would be in heaven.

I think you'll find that Katawa Shoujo resembles a typical visual novel very little.

while i was out my hot air reflow station showed up. i was just playing with it stripping some smd chips off of scrap pcbs. man this thing is fast, way faster than my drench it in rubbing alcohol and light it on fire method. i might also stand the chance of being able to put smds on boards as well as take them off.

Apparently hormones and my wonky diet are the culprits of the breakouts. With my recent depression and painful mood-swings, it's starting to make a little sense. When the hormones say "fudge it!" the immune system follows suite. I happen to fall into a small subset of males who have severe hormonal shifts like women during menstruation or pregnancy, who develop cold sore like symptoms but are in fact brought on by nutritional defecencies and hormonal storms.

Stress = Immune System Go Nuts! = Breakouts. So literal stress can lead to cold sores (almost). (I've never had "cold sores" due to cold or hot weather).

I tend to suffer a mental breakdown during these breakouts: in this case it's actually a symptom of hormonal imbalance in play. So essentially "good mental health" is going to be necessary to avoid my stupid problem in the future, and well all know how well life goes XP. I will admit, I am paranoid, but never did I fathom it was actually this extensive XP. I didn't expect that in the literal sense that a mental state actually will control my rate of breakouts.

So I'll start looking to the route of the "eternal optimist" even though I'm really a dour cynic at heart.

The irony of this situation is that I'll be using a diet used to treat cold sores and outbreaks to reduce the severity of my own. Peppermint oil is great for reducing swelling of said blisters, and Lysine can actually slow down the symptoms and heal them quicker. I'll need to start adding licorice to it as well to encourage a stronger immune system and faster healing process. Lysine is good at managing anxiety, while the Licorice is supposed make me "sing songs and dance with butterflies."

The dermatologist and immunologist sent me to a naturopath after deducing from a few blood tests that hormones we're screwing with my immune system, and badly I might add. So the best way to deal with my problem is to: live and eat better, so that way I can hopefully avoid recurring stress-outs that cause my immune system to go beserk. I.E. I have to stop being cynical.

In news of my own. I had a rendezvous today. I have a stomach ache that is stubborn and hasn't gotten away since yesterday night. I couldn't sleep all night because of this. Fell asleep after 7 Am. Woke up ~ 12 Pm. It's 2 Pm. Freaking thing is still there. Not sure if I should go to the meeting. I can go Monday at the worst case though.

It's like this constant bloat that doesn't seem to part. Took some pills now. Hope it works.

Discovered a bug in my Quaternion::FromRotationMatrix function. "Fixed" it by writing a brand new implementation which is considerably slower, and replacing the contents of the first if block of the old one with the new implementation I wrote. Herp derp.

Posting this here instead of in my game engine thread because it's tiny, I'd be triple-posting otherwise, and technically it qualifies as "WHIYL".
