Headache inducing problems with computer rebooting randomly appear to be caused by the connection from the PSU to the motherboard being knocked loose (!). I am not sure what the implications of this are.

Mom says if I haven't moved out by the end of the month, she's going to leave. But mom+dad have given up on trying to talk me into moving into either of the two places we looked at together. Both places suck.

Well, then.

A riot in my hometown. I've never seen that happen before.

Not a whole lot happened. Several arrests, one officer "injured" (didn't say how badly), crowds ran away after police broke out the tear gas.

Most people in the city think the protestors/rioters were idiots and are mostly pissed at them for blocking the main street for several hours.

I wonder... so far they've trampled the right to free speech, freedom of the press, freedom of peaceable assembly, and freedom to not be proselytized for your religion (or lack thereof) ...

If, instead of carrying signs and banners, protesters carried signed letters, and requested an individual audience with whomever (the police chief, a senator, etc.), what would happen? Would it work, or would it cost us the right to petition?
