yes, i've decided to build the fastest car any of you have EVER seen on the road.
i just bit the bullet and purchased this for the CTS-V...

(14:1 compression; 640HP naturally aspirated. 7.0L)
and two of these

(T3/T4 hybrids)
additionally, i already had this:

magnuson supercharger (good for about 12PSI)
this marks the first time in my life i've ever bought something on credit... i know tomorrow morning i'll regret this and probably sell everything, but hey, who knows... maybe i'll finish the project.
end result - i want to have the most powerful CTS-V in the world. the Tremec T56 is going to get different gear ratios (i want to have a slightly higher 5th and slightly lower 6th), and i'm going to be one of the first people to install a clutch on the supercharger, so that in the higher RPM range the computer can turn it off (will build that into the tune) by flipping a relay, and disengaging the supercharger clutch. i'm hoping to have a top end of just over 20PSI, and around 1200HP with full boost.
hopefully the supercharger will give all the power i need down low, and then once the turbos kick in higher up, the SC will be turned off (that's going to be fun... fabricating that clutch in, as well as the turbos). 3" pipe all around, and 1 7/8" headers, feeding into a 3" exhaust.
the engine's got a forged bottom end, and can easily handle the boost,
everything above cost me about as much as the car's worth :-/ hopefully this ends up being worth it in the end.
I have all the components to build a nitrous kit that i'll modify to 250shot probably, and then i plan on integrating meth injection into the intake tract as well.
the cam's fairly mild, but i think that's going to work out well with the monster boost i plan on running.
I'm hoping this can be the first CTS-V to top 200MPH (shouldn't be an issue at all... hopefully 5th gear will redline (7k RPM) at 200, and 6th gear will redline at 220. 4th at 163, 3rd at 115)
i'm trying to keep it street legal, and i'm hoping with nitrous to be close to 1400 at the tires.
i realize this is going to mean i'll have to do even MORE work on the suspension, as well as reinforce the chassis, and i'm probably looking at $15k in labor since i won't be able to do it all on my own.
expect a post tomorrow explaining why i'm sending everything back because i don't like the bill.
goal is to be able to beat any and all imports i run into. and domestics. i don't think that'll be an issue.
maybe tomorrow i'll sell the S/C and engine, and just keep the turbos, and just build them into the stock 400HP LS6 5.7L engine, which should give me close to 600 at the tires. more than that (actually, more than 550... 13ish PSI) would be pushing the limits of the stock block.
