They are to an extent, but IMHO everything else is... well... horrible. Performance is sub-par regardless of settings, HUD is garbage, the mouse thing is stupid, the missiles are wonky, the interface is bad, the gameplay is medieocre, the voice acting is dull, the plot is epileptic, the combat is tedious.

It's better than Freelancer, but it's by no means good, or thankfully done.

been playing freespace for what.... 6 years now???

And i got to say... I`ve been playing freespace simply because it´s BETTER!!!, I dont know why but software companies tend to NOT making good space-sim games... and I`ve been searching a lot... and I always came back to fs.

And this one looks crapy. (specialy the screen with the pilot´s body on it... what about that??? is that some kind of rear mirror or is it just that the pilot is really "pritty" XD)

       I assumed that was the communications screen myself.

Same here, would be the logical conclusion, yet everyone else here seems to think that it's a mirror??

Heresy looks more FL-based. It looks like it uses the Agency FB font which Freelancer uses.
