Yea it's not just 4chan that does all those raids. 4chan is usually the one mentioned, but many times there are quite a lot of other sites working on the background or even being the ones that organize these raids... as far as I know.

Nevertheless, even being childish etc. I find this humerus.

I think you should report it to authorities, finding that kind of things usually points to something rather sinister, at least if it's at least relatively recent... unless you're an archeologist or paleoanthropologist, or work as a grave digger on an old graveyard...

The funny thing however, is that most people don't get what this whole thing is about. It's like that woman in the news video. She doesn't get it so much, she invents her own reasoning for it. And you just marginally do as well.

The reason it's funny however is because it's all public knowledge. And at least 90% of the people who think they know what it's about, don't.

The reason I created the thread however was just meant for the ridicule of the people in the newscast, and the fact that it's an existing segment. People who saw it and found it funny justified my reasoning for posting it.

To mangle a quote, this sort of "I'm evil PLEASE notice me" kind of thing reeks of stupidity and incompetence; after all, if they were competent, they'd be able to get recognition in some way that was actually interesting. I don't doubt some people do it as a form of showmanship, to say "SCREW YOU WORLD" for a few hours and then go be normal again, much like playing some of the more deranged pencil and paper RPGs such as Cannibal Corpse, but as a whole, it's really just rather sad.
