Yes, I know, it came from AOL.  My parents are trapped on it for the time being, but I noticed this when they were checking their email.  It's really strange, and I'm curious as to your theories on it.

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

Ay-Oh-El...

It does look like a turtle. It doesn't look like a pug or raccoon to me...

Turtle.

It's definitely not a turtle, their spinal column is actually embedded in their shell.  If it was a turtle without a shell, you'd see a ~2in wide gash where the spine should be.

It'd be a long shot but I'm thinking maybe a new species.  There's a lot of stuff under the water that we don't know about.

Guess sarcasm is lost over the tubes. I would've thought the TMNT comment would've tipped people off.

I agree, it's probably a huge mutation, or a new species, or a crossbreed.

That's almost about as accurate as saying that forest canopies house many new animal species. :blah:

If they found it July 13, someone should have put some blood under the microscope by now and been able to at least tell whether it was a reptile, mammal or bird. Thus, I call hoax.

[EDIT] There are better photos about. From the second photo, My first reaction was a pig of some kind, but it looks like it has more prominent hooves than trotters on its rear legs. Still, they're drappy photos, so I'm going to stick with Pig for the moment.
