Yes. Although you will be helped regardless of where you ask your questions, asking your questions in the right places improves the odds of you getting the help you need and helps keep HLP in order. And on that note,
- the SCP board (where this thread was previously) is for questions/suggestions/other discussion about the FSO game engine
- the Wiki board (where you also posted previously) is meant for discussion about the FreeSpace Wiki
- this board (the support board) is an excellent place for questions if you have installation problems, problems running the game or other technical difficulties with the game
- if at some point you experience problems with particular campaigns or mods, it would be excellent if you posted at the board of the mod (is such exists) or at the Missions & Campaigns board (if a board for the mod does not exist).

Yup, the 186.93 drivers fixed it. Every thing is A-OK now. Thanks again E. Strange, I didn't think there was that big of a difference between 185 and 6, but evidently there was.

While I'm glad updated drivers fixed the issue, nVidia is currently up to 196.21 for XP/Vista/Win 7. And the  9600 is still new enough (heck the 9400 GT on my work box is new enough) to run them.
