I'm on XP but I'm not sure if it's 32-bit or 64-bit. I'm voting 32-bit.

A rule of thumb is that if you haven't specifically acquired a 64-bit version, you most surely have 32-bit.

Re: What OS do you use to play Freespace/FS2Open?
I mostly play it in Windows 2000, but sometimes in Win98SE too when I want all the buttons on my Sidewinder to work. (Sadly the USB dongle project seems to have stalled on the Descent Network forums :( )

I haven't tried it in Linux yet... is it fairly trivial to get it working? (Come to think of it I'm not even sure where the downloads are...!)

The game contents are the same, regardless of OS. The Mac and Linux builds are available via the link in my signature.

If you install wine, then install openal for windows, you can use the windows launcher in linux.

Re: What OS do ye use t' play Freespace/FS2Open?
The only thing you can't do with the windows launcher in linux is use it to switch the resolution and color depth. To do that in linux you just go to the /home/xxx/.fs2open directory.
Other than that running the windows launcher in linux is mighty handy so you can switch mods and change the tags. As soon as you open the linux executable for fs2 it'll load just as you configured it with the windows launcher. I hated having to make my own config files to run in linux.
