TSM missions always make me smile. Reminds me of the simulators from wing commander 3. (imagination)

TSM units are approved for use as part of the GTVA combat training program or as a review for qualified pilots. The TSM series is not intended as a substitute for actual field training. Terms & conditions apply. Seek bill payer's permission. Standard simulation charge is 15 Terran credits.

No, that's how you activate the Colossus' main beams.

Taking a wrong turn during a light show mission (Missions with multiple capships slugging it out with beams) and getting fried by someone...

Happened to me in several of the JAD triolgy missions

The first time you open FRED, setting 40 caps against each other, only to be frustrated that none of them are firing their beams when you play the mission.

You know, I remember doing just that about seven years ago.

Re: Those special FreeSpace moments...
The best part of INFR1's campaign was perhaps in the mission of destroying Diablo.

14 fighters and bombers, charging to destroy Diablo's forward beam . . . something red glows . . . all your wingmen disappears in a burst of red.

Wow...and I thought getting beamed by an SRed was bad enough. :D

All of you should watch this if you haven't already. I tried to do that in a Seth on the Sammael, hence the above statement. The latest comment on that video's mine.

Yes, you should watch it too if you're a guest and don't have an account here. ;)

During the Command Brief, everyone realises I am no longer in command of my own vessel!

Being blown up by your own missles/flying into your own bomb, (Do I get sectioned for deliberately trying the latter?)
I reject your reality and substitute my own, hence my existance on the Galatea!

The latter doesn't work.

If your bomb gets shot down while you're near it, and you have a hole in your shields, though...

Even without a hole, being near an exploding Helios is a delicate business.  I've lost a dozen or two hull points even through my shields when flying a Perseus or the like.

I blew myself up in the second mission of Cardinal Spear because I underestimated the shockwave of plasma cannons. :D
