Sorry to tell you this, but there's already a Raptor (my USS Raptor) and people don't usually use the same name for multiple MODs.

It looks Vasudan to me, rather than Terran as it says on the picture.  I think you should have it textured Vasudan.  Everyone and his brother's father's nephew's cousin's former roomate make Terran fighters, but it is next to impossible to find Vasudan ones.  I was looking for a new Vasudan space superiority fighter about a month ago, and had to give up because there simply weren't any to be had.

BTW, I like it.  You might consider smoothing out the curves on the trailing parts of the wings.  Right now they look like someone bent them out of shape.

Yeah, make it Vasudan. I was looking for Vasudan ships awhile back too and they're rare as rocking horse doo doo. Looks sweet but.

but the main thing is I Cant texture i need to know how you guys make those perfect detailed textures, that fit exacly.

what are you using?

Once you've done the UV template, it's just a matter of time & effort to actually draw the maps, and there's no real right or wrong way to do it.

It looks nice (excluding the cockpit...), but it looks vasudan.... maybe change it to a vasudan Superiority fighter.... also, smoothen the cockpit a bit, and you've got a winner

I chose the name "Raptor" because it means hunter in latain (I think).  it now it is a vasudan fighter.

I still need some program to make the uv maps into texture files

I am using TrueSpace5 (Demo) to make my models.

 I would profer lightwave but i cant afford it, i would apreciate if someone could e-mail me on where I could get a time limited demo.

I have a demo of "3D-Studio-Max R4" but its incredably hard to get used to using it, coming from using truespace.

So are you saving the model in tS5 some how if you are you must tell me how (email if it you know what)! Other then that WW (at the ship and the textures)! BTW love the textures!!! What do you use?
