See, if DS9 were a bad show, you might actually have a point. But the fact of the matter is that it's widely considered a high-point in the franchise. It was dark, it was moody, and it was downright entertaining. So was Babylon 5, in fact. Why exactly are we complaining about two entertaining shows?

It was crap. Bad acting, bad script, tons of plot holes. The only thing worth watching were the CGI battles.

I kinda liked DS9. It was a step in the right direction for Trek.

The only trek series i never really got into... Star trek = Vessels in my view, i just thought basing it on a Station was a bit boring.  Jadzia / Hellraiser 3 girl was hawt that's about it.

It means he apparently got into trouble a lot when he was a kid. Which actually kind of creates an inconsistency since in the books when he was about that age he was on a different planet at the time.

Well it looks like his parents are killed on the Kelvin, so chalk that one up to space-time wankery. A *real* reboot would have been better though.

That's kind of inflammatory. I'm not a huge Trek fan, but it's definitely not a dumb show, and it routinely tackles big issues.

Trek was originally a product of the 60's, and it shows. An update is not such a bad thing, a lot has happened since then.
