Today i took ownership of the best handling (but not fastest in a straight line - pretty darn close though) car i've ever owned... a Nissan GT-R.

What a car!

I'd be hesitant to say that neither of us are corporate shills and that Stealth knows his high performance cars.

I think there was a load of fuss because a 911 was faster but it turned out to be a GT2 or some such. A fairer test would have been a 911 Turbo, which is claimed to be slower and costs about 80k against 40-odd ish (?) for the GTR. But then it is a Porsche. And that's from a life-long Nissan fan-boi.

The non-street-legal Skyline GT-R or the not-yet-released GT-R?  If the former, I hope for your sake you don't touch the engine .

kind of embarassed to say this, but tomorrow i pick up my new car... the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V.  as awesome as the GTR is, i just can't afford to have two cars this 'nice', and 4 doors is just way more practical for me

it's OK, the CTS-V still beat the M5 and C/E63AMG, so it's all good.

well didn't think i'd get a CTS-V; i'd put a deposit down (very small), but thought it would be MONTHS from now.  when i got a call fromthe dealership 2 days later, i had to make a tough decision

You can afford just about anything by managing your finances correctly.

Anyways--those CTS-V's are nice cars. What options did you get? What color?
