X-COM 2: Terror From The Deep
I've mastered the small-unit tactics for this game. I may, perhaps, take 79 turns to complete dealing with a down alien ship on occasion. Speed is fine, but taking zero return fire is final. The game pulled out the lobstermen early for me this time, but I still beat them down. I fed it noob troopers to keep it satisified so it didn't get too ridiculous. I give it free Barracudas occasionally so it doesn't bury me in Alien Dreadnaughts.
The day comes. I have a Leviathan. I have 26 full trained troopers who would put the SAS and Delta Force combined to shame. I have a pair of Displacer/Sonic remote heavy weapons platforms to lead the way and absorb any unpleasant surprises. Every trooper is issued a sonic cannon and two reloads, and I have four guys with Pulse Wave Torpedo launchers, and a mountain of ammunition for them. It's time to visit T'Leth.
I die. The first wave out of the transport attracts at least a dozen PWTs. There is a glorious blast of LAME, and no survivors. But I am inching closer. The day will come. Oh yes, it will. Not long ago I couldn't even reach T'leth...
Six years in. I will yet beat this game senseless, I will rape it and its mother dammit!
