In one of the FS cutscenes, (the hallfight) one of the shivans gets shot to death, and it blows up, and doesn't appear to bleed. (But they may have done that to clamp down on the already tight "E" rating.) So thus the question, do you think that Shivan's bleed?

Well is the explosion cause by their blood being exposed to the atmosphere and igniting?  Is that still bleeding?

For what ive seen, it looks like the shivans breath the same atmosphere as we do, just they can also survive in the vacuum of space...
For all we know, those shivans could have been marines, wearing the shivan version of body armour/spacesuits

Well if shivans are cyborgs, those were Shivan marines, their suits are not necessarily interchangeable.

As far as I care, they bleed. Just that laser weapons could cauterize wounds and stop bleeding.

because they have a different metabolic system to humanoids....... do they need sugar and calories , do they need oxygen , at the end of the day we can only speculate to there biological process's (if they are biological )

Well, when the Shivan got shot up, it dropped out of sight after the explosion, so running blood wasnt seen. 'cant be certian.

As far as explosions, maybe their armor possesses some cybernetic capabilities. When the Terran Marines blasted them, that could have been what exploded. Im thinking we would need more evidence of either to know which is the truth.
