Perhaps Shivans have shorter lifespans than humans as they are technically space insects, and while insects have very short lifespans, their number make up for it.

Perhaps the 32 years of the shivans are just a small nap they take once in a while. like we do when we get tired and neeed to sleep.

That is one way to explain the numbers.

If a small nap takes them 32 years in which time others breed and build ships.......well you get my point.

welll errr............yeah they do have it but darth vader can totaly mess up theyr minds and make them wear pink err totous or whatever they are called that balerinas or something wear

So darth vader is much more sinister and has a way more sick sence of humour then the Shivans.

I was wondering the exact same thing too. It seems that their personal beam cannons are mounted to the side of their head.

...and considering that Shivans look symmetrical, I'm now wondering if each of them have TWO.

thats it! its the friggin predator! It blowed up cuz it activated its arm band of destruction... oh geeze, no wonder the shivans keep giving us crap, were going about this the wrong way...

send in the Governator!!!! Only he can defeat the shivans in an epic 1 on 1 battle!

I can see it now. The Shivans board a transport and start herding the passengers into a cargo bay and Schwartzenhoofer leaps from an air duct ready to fight the Shivans in hand to hand combat and screams "GET TO THE LIFE PODS NOW!! ARRRRRR!!"

Shivan body parts start flying every which way and our lovable body builder taunts the Shivans saying "Who is your daddy and what does he do?"
