My processor has been running a bit hotter than usual recently at around 130°F, whereas it used to be around 121° or so. The Geforce3 inside is clocked significantly higher than usual (250/575mhz), but it used to run a bit cooler and I was wondering what was going on; when I opened the case up I noticed that everything was covered with thick layers of dust!
I don't know how the computer managed to even operate correctly (maybe because there are 10 fans
), since the intake fans were completely covered in dust and very little air was actually flowing inside. At the moment most of the dust is still in there since trying to remove all of it manually would take forever, but I am looking for one of those small PC vacuum cleaners for this type of thing. Hopefully I will be able to do it sometime this weekend.
was just reading up on the new Geforce4 card, it has unbelievable stats.
The thing that bothers me though is that I know that someone is going to try to overclock that monster GFX card as soon as they install it even though there aren't really any games about that will push it in any way. 'Just because they can...'

They should use that stuff more often in the high-end commercially available computers. It is frequently used in nuclear fission reactors to keep temperatures down and would work great in PCs.
