Well, after just a simple switch from the nightly build to FSopen 3.7.9, i did not hit the 5 second mark crash. rather interesting that .10 actually crashes it... my Mediavps is .10..

Same problem here. 3.6.10. Ran fine on 3.6.9. See if I can post an debug report later.

I should try to find time to do some testing myself. But this really sounds like something worth Mantising, since it's restricted to 3.6.10. Of course if other people have time, you could start experimenting with many nightly builds in the hope that some older ones would still work and we could pinpoint the exact nightly build that started to cause these crashes.

I propose that we sticky this issue, at least for now. Or alternatively merge the known issues into one sticky so that the number of stickies could be cut down a bit.

Upon putting the "fs2_open_3_6_9" file in my freespace 2 dir and then using it as my launching exe by browsing to it in the launcher I get the error

"Failiure to create the command recognition context"

So er yea, I don't know what thats about.
