"The Great Preservers - CTD"
Hi everyone,
I´ve got a litte issue with that (up to now) great mod: At the Mission Start of "The Great Preserves"  FS2 crashes to Desktop ("...has stopped working") You hit the Launch Button, get in your Fighter, hear music..but the clock doesn´t start counting, after approx. 10 sec the music silences and CTD...I´m using fs2_open_3_6_10r-20081231_r5024 (the 3.6.10 MVPs)

Ok first thing I noticed was the Homesick.vp in your FS2 directory. Might be a good idea to move that to it's own separate folder, maybe /homesick/.

EDIT: Also looks like a lot of errors regarding the Sacred Keeper ship entry...though not sure if that's what's causing the crash in the first place.

All the released patches are included in blueplanet1.vp, since you've downloaded it recently. I'm just curious about one thing:

Hmm. What else could it be? Corrupt VP? Maybe just try redownloading the Blue Planet vp?

And I assume you're using the latest nightly build?

I too am having the same problem with the mission crashing within the first couple of seconds of it starting. I'm able to fly breifly but if i were to fire off a missile before the game crashes, i would be able to see the launch but then the game still crashes. The other problem that i have is that even though i use the latest nightly build and such, for whatever reason, my system does not let me run the debugger for fso... I've tried dl'ing a new copy of the .vp and the new character thing did not help as well (i had recently did a fresh reinstall of everything when i was recieving the red alert issue). On another issue, the mission before flying to the Sanctuary, when the CS ends and the Demon destroyer warps in, i was stuck without any hud or text whatsoever but that wasnt that big an issue as i was able to clear the mission.... I'm itching to know how this campaign ends and wonder if there is anything that can be done to fix this up... I know my computer isnt the best for playing games but I have had no problems up until i started playing this kickass campaign.

Side note: The additional music that was added was extreamly kickass and set the tone for each mission appropriately! =3

For the missing HUD thing, press shift+O to reenable the HUD.
Uncharted Territory is released. But I still need voice actors

Hrm. I assume you're using the 3.6.10 MediaVPs? Try switching in the 3.6.8 MediaVPs and see what happens.

Same problem, it happens immediately after receiving the transmission from alpha 2, 3 seconds into the mission.

I was having a similar problem with CTD when I played this campaign. I tried numerous knightly builds with no luck. Eventually I just went back fso 3.6.9 with the 3.6.10 mediavps and it worked from there with no problems. Don't know if this will help you but you could give it a shot.
