That's why I wrote it with ""-s. I mentioned that Sync was/is meant to be a trilogy if I know well. Is this Project 3 a new story or a continuation?

Project 3 is a new storyline and has no relation to Sync or Transcend.
If I agreed with you, we would both be wrong

Really? It's still set in the same universe no?
The only real relation I can think of with Sync to Transcend is in the briefing of one of the final missions - something about Marcel being a merc in the past. Perhaps its going to be like that.

What about the Syrk Sync trilogy then?

Ransom said that after Project 3 he would start Sync 2, but that was awhile ago and I don't know if that is still the case.

I do really like the speech the Vasudan makes in Sync ending with "You're out of time"

Does anyone have a transcript of it?
VasudanS: :p

Quote
Sadjin: This is the end, Terran.
Reitsek: You shall not pass.
Sadjin: Cease in your path.
Reitsek: It is not too late.
Sadjin: You must halt your interference.
Reitsek: It is the death of your own species which guides you.
Sadjin: This is the end.
Reitsek: You're out of time.
Yes, I'm good at digging through mission files.

I'd love to know what are the name of ships in the Transcend campaign what the Transcendant shows to us? (in the blue nebulae, when the pirate ship is with us)

Are you talking about...
Spoiler:
the mission right before the subspace finale? Those are the two Pi fighters that tried to jump away before the Sync drive activated in Capella, then the whole Sync crew, then the major ships that have died in Transcend, including, ominously, you and all of Omicron wing.

But if you're talking about...
Spoiler:
the missions with the Chondral, it only shows itself and the Chondral being taken.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

I know what happens there :), but I'd like to know how are the ships called in the FRED files  ;7.
By the way, I was talking about the first one.

I played Sync first and decided to play Transcend after reading this topic.
I liked the story of Sync more, it kept me playing. Transcend has way too much "There's a node, here are some cap ships, kill some fighters, run." missions. Eventually I just started longing for the parts with the creepy voice.

The subspace final for me was incredibly epic. After shooting down the first transcend plane I was relaxing my fingers "hurrah, finally got the bastard" then the next one showed up and scrambled back to my controls. Only had 3% hull left, I lost sight of it when it flew behind the ever presistant "Even in death I still serve" Generation then the node started to collapse and the second plane jumped out but a third one came in (hell, it might just have been the same transcend over and over again) and it crashed straight into me.
The node started tobecome white, the transcended was exploding and I was watching my death scene, in slow mo!

And then I was straight back at the beginning of the story
If I didn't knew better, i'd say it was scripted.

Don't think I saw anything like that. Cause it actually showed the "quick start, return to briefing, return to flight deck" menu before continueing on to the next level.

Check out your Transcend folder. There should be a file in there. Play it using VLC or another good media player, and it'll make things make a lot more sense.

It usually plays between 'White Noise' -- the mission you died on -- and the final mission, which I believe was called 'The Beginning'.

Mission failure? :wtf:
yeah since I crashed into transcend at the last possible moment.  But after showing the menu for 1-2 seconds the game loaded the next mission. After clicking Commit It still showed the 'death menu' though. So I actually had to press quick start to start playing the last mission heh

Looked it up on youtube. Movie it self was nicely done. But I didn't needed to understand what was going on. I must admit I was kinda expecting it to end this way. Still very nice though.

You're half-right.  The Sunder vs. Transcendant mission is White Noise, but the last is actually called "Transcendence"
If you don't have Knossos, you need it.

I still say that full second or two where everything vanished is a clue that everything didn't really end the way that people think it did. The spoiler below contains my full theories.

Spoiler:
The events which transpired around the Transcendant were his memories repeating as his strength grew. After he was killed, everything was reversed, but we couldn't exactly say for sure if he was slain or not. Those two seconds of nonexistence before the campaign's end lead me to believe that after Sunder destroyed the Transcendant, he became one himself. The Transcendant wanted to be freed from his state, and only Sunder truly understood him. Perhaps Sunder Marcel inherited that indescribable power and is now reliving his own memories...

Yes, nobody asked for my theories, but I thought I should get them out there anyhow.

Spoiler:
I agree with your theory but I am led to believe that the Transcend was finally killed in White Noise - as the final Pegasus dies, it is emphasized that the Transcendant is killed by the time compression being sent to 0.01 at the moment the Pegasus explodes. Also note that the previous Pegasus attacking Marcel only disappeared not exploded when you defeat them.[spoiler/]e that everything didn't really end the way that people think it did. The spoiler below contains my full theories.

But other than...
Spoiler:
Seeing the Transcendant flash at the very end
Would that hold any significance other than making me wig out?

That last appearance of the Transcendant in the movie was probably meant to suggest that what you see in the cutscene was a sort of "thank-you" present for Sunder.
Spoiler:
Remember, time rewinds itself, but in the "Transcendence" version of the first mission, Omicron never shows up.
