Seriously!
I created a mission and by some kind of mistake I was a cargo unit!

I was unable to move and had no weapons so scrolled over the targets.

Beta 1...2...3...Alpha 3...2...1???

I Heard of Cruisers,Cap Ships but not a cargo ship.

but that's only possible if the cargo unit has a special flag to enable the player to use it If I heard right.

Maybe, just maybe you didn't qualify as pilot?

Not me, but last time I checked flying what is essentially a bomb waiting to go off is not what I'd call fun. Well, until I try it and try to dodge everything.

I'm gonna get down to trying it, after all, it can't be *that* bad, however I have no idea how the whole docking thing would work though

Didn't you find flying Shivan ships and random stuff interesting when you just started FREDding/modding?

Well... yeah. But I don't see any reason why to make a thread just because of playing as cargo

You could probably FRED it to a hoykey, some kind of player-use-ai and an order to dock with your current target.
