Re: Whatever happens in your life II: The Wrath of Khan
Just finished a programming assignment in LISP... well, not really "finished" because there were still a couple of errors, all the same one: something about trying to return "NIL", which I didn't think I was doing (to the best of my knowledge NIL wasn't even a value that could be obtained in those functions), but... GAH!

No more time to debug. Not gonna get a complete grade on it, but what does the professor expect when none of us, or at least I, had ever programmed using a functional language before? :hopping:

I suspect the point was for you to learn how to use functional languages.

Yet being if someone can crack into the graphics code and implement stencil shadows. Which is looking increasingly unlikely.
Au contraire; it was done five years ago.

Unfortunately, it was coded to Bobboau's usual standards of messy, bug-prone, mostly-hacked, unreadable code. :(  If it had been written cleanly and concisely, and bugfixed, it would have been committed to CVS back then.

Unfortunately not a single image works except for one with such a wonky error the ship's pitch black.

I find the lack of shadows in FSO disturbing.[/Vader]
Someone should force-choke Bobboau 'til he finish what he started 5 years ago... :D

St. John's Newfieland?

Canada doesn't have SATs. We have PATs.

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.

Don't talk about the SATs. I have mine on Saturday, and I feel ill every time I think about it...
