I have to call her sometime. I really hate phone calls. It'll go good of course. She hates how blunt i can be. Should i need to cut off the relationship, i know which tactic to use.

If I really didn't get the joke, I wouldn't have deemed it a salient quote to begin with, since in order for me to realize there was something I wasn't getting, I would first have to be aware that a joke was being made. But, owing to the form of Mefustae's joke, there's no way I would have been aware that what he was saying was a joke unless I understood it.
