Snuffleupagus is years old joke with HLP polls that I'm really surprised you haven't noticed until now, and Elmo is a joke about the joke, I guess.

Something can be random and funny. However, something being random does not automatically make it funny, and vice versa.


For example, saying randomly "Cheese!" is not funny. Just random.

I think that's why the quote says "In randomness AND hilarity we trust". Sorry if that was not clear in my post. It wasn't a go at you, just relevant to what you were saying! Snuffleupagus was funny at the time but it got old a long time ago!
