Nor do I. The point being that remodeling these ships takes a big chunk of time, particularly when the comparatively few skilled modelers we have are spread across a variety of other projects, not to mention the ever-lurking Real Life.  As the Col. and VA mentioned, most of these ships are WIPs to at least some degree.  I can just about guarantee you that, somewhere down the line, every ship in the canon fleet will have been touched up by somebody or other...though I pity the poor sap who gets stuck with something like the Nephilim.

I'm not a musician, but my response to someone saying they wished they could make music would be the same as his. It's the same for pretty much everything one can be skilled at - give it a go, and if you either enjoy it OR really want to do it well, then work at it!

The FSU does indeed need more HTLer people, and we can teach people to be able to do that - but the willingness to learn must come from them.

Wish I would have learned when I was younger.  Unfortunately there was no place to learn anything like modeling when I went to school.  It was either computer science or electrical engineering.  There were no course that taught you to do any kind of graphics not alone 3D or video.  Heck there weren't even any people to learn it from.  Now I just don't have the ability or patients to learn learn new stuff like that.

That wasn't really my point. Titan hasn't learned one useful thing during his stay here at HLP (Well, supposedly FREDing, but I've yet to see a mission by him). Now that's fine with me, but the fact that he's going around telling people to learn is not.

Sure, the FSU does need more HTLer people. Why don't you learn Titan. I know you can't because of your parents, but even if you did have more liberal parents who encouraged such things, I still can't see you doing anything.

CG Music can be an expensive past-time especially if you are into Orchestral scoring etc, try something like Fruity Loops or the like first, to get the hang of using looping (Acid Pro is good for this too, that's what I learned on), it's free and pretty easy to use. If, however, you want to get onto the more orchestral stuff, you have to start looking at things like VST's and Cakewalk/Cubase/Pro-Tools etc, and then your costs go into four figures.

As for modelling, like coding, it's really a question of sitting down and doing it, it's really the only way to learn what is going on

I know for sure the FSPort ones need upgrading though...
