Something to lighten the mood...
Pick one or name one that you think beats all the others.

I'm gonna say Aquarion, it pulled the Earth back together after the World Tree died, in effect becoming the new world tree.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

No Snuffeulupugusatron?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Spoiler:
I'm gonna say Aquarion, it pulled the Earth back together after the World Tree died, in effect becoming the new world tree.

I sure hope that that wasn't an important plot point....

And you're missing too many mechs for this poll to really be complete.

Re: Something to lighten the mood...
The mood is a bit too angry with all of the "left vs. right" arguments flying about on the "A Nation of Cowards" and the "Only 53%" threads.  And the comments on the "Sick I tell you. Sick" thread.  But let's not get into all of that on this thread, okay?

I voted Nirvash.  Gundams are cool, but fairly generic, and I don't know what Escaflowne and Aquarion are from so I can't vote for those.  Voltron is kinda generic too.  So I had to vote for the Nirvash, even though Eureka Seven was a bit too hippie-ish for my tastes.  The other robots just don't have kickass hoverboards or the all-powerful Seventh Swell.  But The End was cooler with its black paint job and claws.

Also, not enough choices.  If the Weltall or Xenogears was up there, I know what's got my vote instead of the Nirvash.

See what you're missing in #WoD and #Fsquest?

[07:57:32] <Caiaphas> inspired by HerraTohtori i built a supermaneuverable plane in ksp
[07:57:43] <Caiaphas> i just killed my pilots with a high-g maneuver
[07:58:19] <Caiaphas> apparently people can't take 20 gees for 5 continuous seconds
[08:00:11] <Caiaphas> the plane however performed admirably, and only crashed because it no longer had any guidance systems

Zinv and I don't mean me. That's a mecha's name that dimension hopped and put entire
universes back together. Much less had powers over gravity and the wings of the light hawk.

Most powerful wise... that's an argument to be decided in that Another Century's Episode game out of Japan.
It's got just about all of these in it.

Of the list that I know, it'd be between a Gundam (seed, 00, wing) or Nirvash.

Re: Something to lighten the mood...
I'm not qualified to know which ones best since i only have passing familiarity with a couple of them and haven't been interested in any Gundam show past Stardust Memory.  That said if i could own one it would be a mobile suit from either 08th MS team or 0083.  Those two were in my opinion the most "militarily realistic" portrayals Gundam has accomplished and didn't involve some wonder boy with angst piloting a world devastating robot.  The EZ-8 or GP01 were cool enough for me without going overboard.

Re: Something to lighten the mood...
So sue me, I didn't feel like listing all 500 or so god-mechs from the various anime over the years.  So I listed the ones I could remember.

Gosh, I don't know any of those.

Where are Optimus Prime and Unicron?

Re: Something to lighten the mood...
Ummmm....MACROSS!!!
Macross is good. I vote macross. Known to americans through robotech which was the expertly conjoining of 3 different animes being macross, southerncross, and something else.
MACROSS is the best.
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

Ideon destroyed the ****ing universe and it wasn't any bigger than the protagonists in a Gundam series. Eat your heart out, Gurren Lagann.
