  • What good would that do? I need a drink.
At the end of FS2 we see that the sathanas fleet uses one of the Capella stars to form a wormhole to somewhere. Isn’t it possible that this wormhole led to Sol and eventually Earth? The shivans may want to go to earth to find out what happened to the Lucy. Or perhaps, they would go there to exact their revenge. They may believe that there exists a special weapon on Earth and that it would take the entire sathanas fleet to take it out. Also, Bosch may have led them there as part of his great plan, possibly, as a demonstration of good faith. Does anyone else think this was possible or am I violating too much of the story?
My application asked me for 1000 words so I just drew them a picture.

No we don't.

That is one possible explanation for what was going on. There are many others.

We do however see an effect that looks like the normal subspace jump.

IIRC when they leave it's NOTone big portal, they all have their normal individual ones aside from others that are left behind(?), then BOOM!

Now you can argue that what they did altered subspace so all their individual jumps will go to the same place, but they did NOT go into the sun. They jumped normally to the naked eye.

Personally, I think it was a nromal jump, just that they needed to destroy the system and destabilized subspace for God only knows why. But that's just my humble opinion.

Yes, but it was hinted at quite obviously by Petrarch in the ending monologue :P

Yeah, I was basing my idea more on what Petrarch said at the end. I didn't take the contents shown in the videos too seriously since I think that they are sometimes flawed.

Yeah, well the Shivans being "Human" to some extent kinda doesn't fit with me that well, but it would be REALLY interesting so see some kind of human side to them. Having a home world is something that seems likely at some points, but when compared to the ending monologue of FS1 it doesn't click in my opinion.

Umm...they aren't going to Sol to become human or to claim a home world. I was inferring that they would destroy Sol.

On a side note I have just been made aware of a quote written on the FS2 box:

Although, on the outskirts of the Gamma Draconis System, your most feared nemesis has returned and they are wondering what happened to their scouting party...

I was talking about Petrarch's speech, about the Shivans looking for THEIR homeworld.

isn't it said somewhere that the Shivans are native to subspace if that's possible? Although it would be cool if the Shivans actually had a homeworld . . .

Yeah I read that too, it's in the techroom database I think.

shivans are the result of an experimental crossing between Terran and Vasudan races done by the GTVA, they evolved and developed a real FTL travel in this realm and that allowed them to go faster, farther and even travel back in the timeline, crossing us with them and the ancients.

now that's a crazy thought... ain't it?

The experiment was an idea to fight the Shivans. Predestination paradox FTW!

Oh god, not that. Don't bring the box art up. It's whack. It's been repeatedly rejected. And I can link to a dozen posts demonstrating the insanity of the Lucifer being a scout ship.

Nope that's fanwank, from the "Shivan Manifesto" or some other such thing.

What the techroom says is that their anatomy may hint that they evolved in a zero-gravity environment, giving rise to the (also fanon) theory that they were bred/bio-engineered by someone else.

I see, but space is near zero gravity isn't it?

Yes, but read again, eliex refered to subspace, which would have quite some more drastic implications.
