I don't know guys... I believe this mellows down the game expierence a bit...

"Oh look, that Republic Commando has five less levels then me, that means he can't beat me, the level 60 Sith Lord..."

To be fair, the Commando didn't beat the Sith Lord.  He just made it possible for him to be beaten.
