I'd be shocked and truly impressed if you managed to get someone of her experience to engage in the project for... very little or free. I think that sort of activity for a practicing professional could actually be a poor choice, though. You'd end up getting a lot of "spam" from Mr./Ms. Nobody for some hair-brained project not worth the light of day. Blue Planet definately does not fit into that criteria, but you must set a standard somwhere.

Still, it's quite impressive you even managed to get in contact with the said person. If I can ask, how much was she asking for?

She already gets plenty of spam. It's not like she's earned anything from Starcraft (one-time fee of probably less than five hundred dollars), so she probably needs all the work she can get.

SuperCool, is there any chance you could rerecord your lines with a bit less microphone pop? I'm not immediately aware of any easy way to reduce pop in Audacity (noise removal won't do the trick), and if you just backed up a bit from the mic, we could then amplify the volume later easily enough.

If we ever did hire her it'd be for a specific role in WiH that she could do perfectly. And I'm afraid that at the moment there hasn't been much progress - we're waiting on a few non-HLP voice actors to report in.

I thought I'd mention for people that I've found you can significantly reduce mic popping if you talk with the mic to the side rather than directly in front of you.
