Nope, I doubt we'll have glaring space operas and battles with Vasudans in my lifetime...
I'd rather be some corporate PHREAK! ;)
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

Perhaps...it depends on how fast space travel progresses (ie how open it is to the population at large)

You have to be healthy for space travel.  That means time off from gaming.  Who the hell would want that...?
-Stop clouding the issue with facts!
-It's the post quality that counts, not quantity.  I am a spammer, dammit!
-Deliberately annoying since 1985.

If I can get accepted, I wouldn't mind going into either the theoretical astronomy or the R&D division of NASA. ;) Probably wouldn't be actually going into space though, unless it becomes more streamlined in my lifetime. ;)

Well, If it's NASA I wouldn't mind a nice Computer job there... but that's not going up in space :p

If NASA or any space agency asked for volunteers to colonise Mars or even the Moon, I would be the first in line. Period. If they needed space pilots to shuttle people back and forth, I'd be there, without a doubt.

My first dreams, my first ambitions, were to be an Astronaut. Heck, I ended up in the Navy by way of stepping back from my dreams inch-by-inch. The only reason I play space sims and design 3d space ships is because space and other worlds call to me.

Astronauts are my heros, my demigods.
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]
