Continuing with taking a break from hard FREDding... A Shivan Gunship and/or Light Cruiser. I'm not too sure how to arm it. I was thinking a heavy weapon (light beam or FS1 super laser like gun) in each of the nacelle pods with some anti-fighter turrets sprinkled about. Maybe a cluster missile launcher too. I'm not too sure if I like the turrets. They seem too chunky for Shivans. I need to redo parts of the bottom nacelles to better match the top one, and I haven't done any work on the bottom yet. Also bottom pic is a rear shot of an earlier model, nothing much changed from there so I'll just reuse that pic...

As far as turrets go, I think button turrets actually suit the Shivans very well... exceptions to this would be the main beams on the dreaded Lilith or that joke-of-a-cruiser Cain.

It sorta looks like a Shivanized version of Galactica.  This is awesome.

It's very FS1-inspired, and FS1 Shivan ships are a lot more mechanical than the FS2 space bug look. I like the FS1 style better.

I think whatever heavy weapons I mount on this thing, it'll go below each of the pods instead of inside them. So that thing on the top arm will be going. Aside from the Lucifer, no Shivan ships have anything inside their arm recesses.

Thaeris: I like moving turrets, so I want this to have them. I really think I'll redo them now. The turrets look find as a missile launcher, but not as a normal gun. Also I use Wings3D for all my modelling needs.

Dekker: I had considered adding some sort of rack to fit small Shivan fighters on... like some Dragons... 

FreeSpaceFreak: It will most certainly be released publicly! Depends in what state though. I can model and UVMap but texturing is another story...

I just had a thought... if you could figure out how to do non-vertical multi-part turrets, and you did that for some of those turrets, it might look a lot better. Maybe.

Edit: An idea, as for armament, how about swarm bomb type stuff? Firing ~4 shots at once, with a reasonably long wait between shots... or just swarm missiles...

Certainly looks Shivan-ish.

Well, limitations on the FS engine that be, you really can't put loads of fast-firing weapons on it and make into what I think is a proper gunship.

For a gunship, I think you'd need lots of flaks and beams, possibly some gattling lasers to cover the slack between their recharge/reload.

Light cruiser wise, a couple of primary beams and then covered with regular Shivan blobs and the usual array of beamz and flaks should do.

Looks pretty cool. I've been thinking about trying to do a Shivan Cruiser or two myself. Been too busy trying to land a job.
The one thing I can say about FS1 style is that the Shivan warships often have flat bottoms. So, I would suggest that yours is more of an amalgamation of the two styles. Cool none-the-less.

If anything, I think it has too much spiky stuff. Particularly the 3x spikes on either side of the top are kind of overdoing it. Shivans may have spikes, but that's ... meh.
