Jane (my wife) and I were watching the news last night and they mentioned some of the events in Israel. I told her I was worried about things over there and she looked baffled, as I am usually uninterested in global events that do not directly involve the US Navy. I ended up telling her about Sandwich and how cool he is.

I miss the bastard. Glad he's okay.

Israel is only a few steps away from war, so yes the reserves are back in action.

Well, it's good to hear that he is still doing fine. I don't think the Israeli soldiers are really at risk though; it is the civilians who need to be careful. The Palestinian military is very small and unorganized so they cannot really go for a full-out assault; they resort to the suicide bombers instead, which usually claim civilian lives instead of military ones.
