The Shrine - New Project of sorts.

As I'm sure many of you had memories on the VBB whether good or bad... which was recently closed to all of you who haven't heard. This saddening event in history is a part of the grand (:p?) heritage of HLP, Volition Watch, etc.

What I plan is a big, huge tribute to Vs late forum where the whole thing started...
What I plan are:
  • Info about the past, present and future (theoretical) of the VBB.
  • What people thought in the ending days.
  • Story/Info bits - maybe some literature. Poems, music and other stuff (maybe)
  • Interviews with key fan sites - V Watch, HLP.
  • Interview with Volition Staff and their thoughts
  • etc.


I feel that memories should live on, and after April 12th - all of those will be gone so this is an attempt to preserve it. :nod:

Now now - if your going to do this at least do it properly, don't just make it a flame page that'll forever tarnish the community :o

Also - make sure you do this quickly, we've got limited time before they pull the plug, that doesn't give much time to get any info needed from the forum itself.

I'll make sure it's not just flames. :) It'll be various viewpoints - from the vet, the newbie, the troll... :nod:

Just had a thought, while the board is still up and just for ****s and giggles, let's take some screen shots of the names and (if you must) post counts.  Maybe even have a copy of the entire member list.  Kind of like the Vietnam Memorial, if you will.

Now that is a render for Setekh! What do you say dude, can you render the entire VBB member list on a stone/metalic background? Perhaps in an earth setting with some FS ships flying by in a rememberance configuration (similar to the Lancaster/Spitfire combo we had for the Queen Mothers death, 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings etc...?) That'd be good :nod:

Yeh, we do. And we can even conver them over to vB. But it's rather too late now... :(
