Tool is a fascinating band. Musically, they have to be one of the most innovative I've heard in a very long time: I feel the best descriptor for them is "art metal."

In terms of viewpoints/subject matter, I most definately can't approve of many things they seem to advocate. I do tend to take most things with a "grain of salt," but songs like
Eulogy aren't terribly appealing to me due to the lyrics. However, that intro riff is incredible. Still, the meaning to the lyrics can be interpreted in several different fashions - at least it's something to think about.
"A Perfect Circle" is certainly not my favorite band from what I've heard of them, and this song doesn't get my vote. However, there is no denying that Maynard is a tremendously skilled individual.
