My freespace game is messed up! Could someone please help me?

The high amount of modular ships table might mean that you're going over the ship limit, but that shouldn't assert, it should just error. :nervous:

An FX5700 _and_ running normal maps?

Remove -normal from the command line. It's not loading the shaders anyway. In fact, replace it with -no_glsl.

Ditch mip-map while you are at it.

And in your MyMod folder, pull out all the extra ship tables and add them in one at a time, each one separately and see if individually any of them cause a crash. If none of them by themselves causes a crash, then you'll know it's not a table data problem, but as Herra suggested, it may be exceeding the ships limit at which point I'd recommend that you try the Inferno version of 3.6.10.

Nope... that bit just tells that debugging code crashed too (either like it should have or then to some other issue)

The important bit is this time the actual assert ASSERTION: "count < max_ints" at PARSELO.CPP:2479 and the stack he provided.. which tells that the problem occurred when parsing ship data. And that the table entry had too many items in the integer list it was trying to parse... So it seems the problem was in one of the following entries.

Ok, i removed all the TBMs and it's working fine, so either one of the TBMs is messed up, or i have to many ships.

There is a limit to the amount of tbl/tbm file names you can have.  It wasn't very high in 3.6.10 but has been increased quite a bit in 3.6.11.  With that number of .tbm files it's likely you hit it.

Not really sure.  It may have even been based on total number of characters in the file names not actual files.  You can combine some of those .tbms into one file.  Anything with a -shp.tbm can be combined for instance.

Yeah, I did that and the game crashed and gave me an error message about the GTF Apollo. I  removed that ship and the game was still looking for it.

Make sure they are set up just like ships.tbl with the #start list of ships then #end.

That, unfortunately, I can't tell you. But when the parser starts throwing its hands up and screams Int3(), then it's an indicator for an error. And since that's the last tbl parsed, I'd say the error is in there somewhere.

Post the tbm, maybe we can figure this out.
