... even I'M smart enough to know autism is something you're born with, and I HAVE it...
You're wrong. People with autism made a choice to be that way.
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

Women too!
"Neutrality means that you don't really care, cuz the struggle goes on even when you're not there: Blind and unaware."

"We still believe in all the things that we stood by before,
and after everything we've seen here maybe even more.
I know we're not the only ones, and we were not the first,
and unapologetically we'll stand behind each word."

As it is related to the subject, here are the consequences.

And yes, ignore the comments below blaming everything on illegal immigrants.

Re: The Anti-Vaccination hysteria (The old vaccination = autism crap)
Is "epidemic" based on relative percentages or something? Because last I checked, 910 ppl is not a significant portion of a population.
Call me when we get another Spanish Influenza-type, and I'll start panicking.

Seriously, what was it? Bird flu, SARS, swine flu, now this? I'd be surprised if even 1% of the population of CA felt symptoms from any of those combined.

People just need to find an excuse to flip their lids. Saw a commercial the other day that said pretty much: "Don't hug your baby, you could infect them with whooping cough and they could die!!!"

EDIT: fixed statistic. Baseless assumption stays though!

Did you ever consider that such a small percentage felt symptoms of those BECAUSE of preventative measures? While I'll agree that swine flu was nowhere near as dangerous as it first seemed due to the huge under-reporting of cases in Mexico, SARS is every bit as nasty as it was made out to be. Out of 8,096 known infected cases there were 774 deaths. That's one of the higher fatality rates for a disease that is as transmissible as SARS.

As for scaring people about whooping cough, damn right they should be scared of it. They should be scared enough that they don't listen to the bull**** the ant-vax idiots put out and line up to get their kids vaccinated.

Oh.
And I suppose those are some good points, Kara. I wasn't saying, "don't get vaccinated" I was saying "go ahead and hug your baby, it probably won't kill him/her."
