Is "epidemic" based on relative percentages or something? Because last I checked, 910 ppl is not a significant portion of a population.
Call me when we get another Spanish Influenza-type, and I'll start panicking.
Seriously, what was it? Bird flu, SARS, swine flu, now this? I'd be surprised if even 1% of the population of CA felt symptoms from any of those combined.
People just need to find an excuse to flip their lids. Saw a commercial the other day that said pretty much: "Don't hug your baby, you could infect them with whooping cough and they could die!!!"
