Apprehensive. AVP and AVP2 were some of the absolute worst movies I have ever seen in my life, period. This is not an exaggeration.

I liked AVP it brought back some of the tension/thriller back to both franchises which was lost in its entirety for AVP2 with its aimlessly wandering plot

You heard right...  :D

Spoiler:
But, just for the scene with the blond-haired women smashed by the Predator's disc, it IS fun <in a drunken state>

EDIT : I have learned how to use this spoiler thing recently...  :nervous:

Saw it last night...it wasn't awful, but it wasn't anything I'd go and see again.

Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Spoiler tags, please. We watch these things to figure out who lives and who dies.

RottenTomatoes reviews are actually positive so far.

EDIT: nvm sounds like you were talking about AVP2.

AVP2 was the worst film ever made in film making history. It was inexcusably bad. It offended me how mind-numbingly bad that move was. I felt like someone went and ripped off my testicles and said that I didn't have any better way to spend 2 hours of my life, and that watching a bunch of cardboard cutouts being killed was somehow a good use of my time. ****ing bastards. Go burn in hell. Seriously. **** off.
[/rant]

Aaaaaanyway.... I might go see Predators depending on what you peepl say. And if I can find anyone to go there with... :nervous:

Yes, it was AVP2. I understand that people don't like horror films like the Alien serie or Schwarzenegger-action-movies like Predator, but i just can't understand how the mix between them was so... hummm... awful ? It lacks the spirit of both these series I LOVE (especially Alien). It just... doesn't work.

BTW, sorry for the spoil

AVP2 was actually better than the first. Not by much, but still. It wasn't a classic by any measure, but it wasn't too bad. It could have easily been much worse.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Maybe. I didn't get past the first 30 minutes.

I heard someone complaining that one of the predators in "Predators" eats 6 grenades and walks off without a scratch.

And by "eat" I mean in the gaming sense, not the literal sense.

i saw this tonight.  don't waste your time.  it was soooooo damn cheesy, and 100% predictable.  it was almost even like a remake of the original with a different team in a different jungle.

Hmmmm.

I don't like that much. Seeing as in the first an m203 shell emptied into a leaf managed to disable the Preds cloak.

Still looking forward to seeing the reboot though.

No no no no no no.............

I meant a pred can take 6 grenades in the recent films. But back in the first 1987 film Arnie fries the cloak with an explodey-arrow.

It appears they have upgrades nowadays.

An explody arrow that was shot at a pile of concealed explosives. It was fried because it was a lucky hit that fried its wrist computer, it still didn't do anything to its other armored sections. After all, it took several more of those and even though it was bleeding it STILL wouldn't go down.

I didn't think it was very much in the Predator 'ethos' to have honour-based combat where one side is wearing the equivalent of several inches of steel plated armour, that really doesn't sound like the way I imagined them.

Edit: Though, in honesty, I never quite understood the Predators 'Thermonuclear Deathsplosion' either, why wipe out a large area simply because the hunt ended badly? That sort of goes against the image of them that was put forward as well, destroying the evidence of their existence, that I can understand, but that just seems a little over the top.
