What, so you can go to E3?  Sorry..... admission is already closed.  Has been for a couple weeks.

I missed it last year, when I was down in Brazil I was bugging Setekh to send me anything E3 related.  Luckily it didn't come up until I was back home.

If they discriminate based on age then they don't deserve to get us minors to come there anyway. Seriously though, E3 doesn't seem like such a big deal to me; even if I discount the fact that I absolutely hate going out of my house (), the place will be extremely crowded and the only attraction there is some alpha versions of upcoming games. Sounds nice, but for $200?! bah

Still, that's only for some 50 people; most of the visitors there pay to get in. Everyone talks of E3 though as if it is the end of the world, which sounds a bit silly to me, since there's not that much there. (and way too many people ) Also, the travel and lodging costs incurred would far exceed the cost of actually getting in and would be better spent on games and hardware IMHO.

E3 isnt the place to be for artists...3D ones anyway.

if you want the REAL cutting edge stuff go to SIGGRAPH.  which is at least four times as expensive

Heh, I could have got the subscription and hotel for free during all the time I was in college to go to SIGGRAPH, but I never had the money to pay for the trip. Now I have the money for the trip, I don't get anything else for free and I don't have the time. Bummer.

(I was a research assistant in computer graphics back then...)
