Would you like to see a FS Source Code forum?

Hell yes! it\'s another part of FS modding after all!

No, this stuff can be posted in the modding forum if needed anyway.
5 (12.5%)
VW has a project on it - it\'d be better to keep source code things to there...
3 (7.5%)
It\'d be nice, but not essential.

Well, one thing that annoyed me about the entire matter was that not one person here at HLP was told about this beforehand.... whereas the VW crew knew about it ahead of time.

Another interesting point Shrike - whilst it's unreasonable to expect support from a games company at any stage and whilst we only want friendly rivalry between FS sites, it's fairly favouritist to only inform one site and give them prefered help with source code development and so on. In light of that we could have every right to do what we pleased regardless of other plans.

At this stage though I think a source code forum here (at least) is very likely, especially since I intend to set it up in around 5 minutes.

Edit: Which is now done, go play you crazy kids (thats not Thunder-esk for "spam ;)). It's ni the Freespace section of the forums. Enjoy!

Oh, and thread unstuck.

Eh, apparently Ice had less than 48 hours warning about the entire thing.  Oh well.... Dave sent me an email afterwards about updating the HLP mirror, why couldn't he send me one before, warning us?  Eh Dave?  :D

On a side note (just didn't bother to make a new thread) the VW forums are down. Shoo, the Source Code forums was a good idea.

To be fair to them there's a hell of a lot that can go wrong with setups as large as 3DAP or Telefragged :)

Not sure what caused it but it looks like it's a DNS problem from here. It seemed to be having intermittent DNS problems yesterday too. (Never lasted long but several times I got DNS errors.)
