I started this at first out of boredom, but I actually did more and more because it's a useful resource for all kinds of modders- modelers and FREDders especially. A modeler can look at it and go 'Oooh I want my ship to be similar in size to that one!' or when they want to make a ship which is, say, a frigate or super destroyer which have ill-defined sizes. A FREDder can look at it and go 'I need a ship more this size instead of that.'

I still need to do the industrial (freighter, transport, etc) comparison and then the BP one is done. Not to mention I feel it's not comprehensive enough, I want to do as many ships from both games (fan and canon) as possible and have a list of size of meters.

I had used the reskined Blue Planet version because I had originally done these for BP, hence why it was moved from their forum. I wouldn't mind doing it with the original, I just need to make a TBM out of its table.

Vengence made it back in 2007, I believe. The name is 'GTVA Titan' and you can find it on FSMods.

The Garm looks rather large, but that's because it looks like a Fenris/Leviathan.

The Lilith also seems tiny there! I mean, I knew it was a cruiser and so wasn't very big, but seeing it compared to the other cruisers makes it all the more threatening, what with that huge beam cannon.

That's always sorta bugged me about the Lilith.  I mean, if they can fit an LRed and an adequate power supply into a Lilith, their destroyers could have dozens of the things.  The same thing applies to the Mjolnir, though.  If Mjolnir beams are that small, the GTVA should rip out every beam cannon it has and replace them with Mjolnirs.

Back on topic, does anyone know if Esarai's frigate and this other new ship are being used in any mods?

Oh neat! I didn't know that ship still circulated around hehe! Yeah it is a Siege Driver DN, I bought SOTS recently, and boy was my scale way off.... by a magnitude of 10x. In any case its a resource now, go nuts.

By scale being off you mean a SotS DN only being as large as a FS cruiser? :D

I heard 600-800 meters. Still, in a way, it easily outclasses a modern aircraft carrier soooo.... yeah >_>. When I was modeling it it wasn't because of the siege cannon but a small additional idea where the front of the craft is made of modular weapon bits where it can afford to be ripped off and replaced with ease. Admitably I should have done a better job at making this more original XD, but that was years ago. I am a lot better now.

No, around 270m actually.  A SotS destroyer is only 30m long give or take (around the size of a Boanerges or Medusa), with cruisers being 3x that at 90m (a little smaller than a Satis), and dreadnoughts being 3x cruisers at 270m approximately, which is the size of an Aeolus.
