Just put up the Ragnarok theme music pack for public release.

You can find that at the LoK site  (http://www.geocities.com/elorran).

It's a tad shorter than the standard tracks, but is well suited to the flow of FS2.  :)

SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Elorran, I can post the file up on my site, if you'd like. That'd get around that silly Yahoo bandwidth limit thing.
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

I've just recently got my cable connection sorted out (at last).  I'll start putting a few files up on that soon.  But in the mean time by all means host the files if you like.  It's a public release so I don't honestly mind.  :)

Yahoo/Geocities is only temp anyway until I can get a few more things sorted out then I'm gonna twist the HLP staffs arms and get hosting :D

I've got about a dozen and a half screenshots (jpg, 640x480, economy size of about 30-45kb each).  There is the web pages each of which isn't any bigger than 5kb probably.  Theres a few extra pics like the LoK title pic.  Theres the 2 music packs and the SOC Aremtis mod.  Total of about 6.3 megs give or take.

The problem is that the bandwidth usage is calculated daily for the months total.  And if it exceed a daily sub-allocation then the site goes down.  It sucks I know, but that is the way of things... at least for the moment.  Sorry :(

That could be a problem then since I don't have any children yet and I'm hoping for a daughter more than anything :D

I see this may take some planning  :devilidea:

Okay... change of plan.  I've poked Thorn in the back and threatened to duff him in if he didn't upload me the files to the TAP site.  So now that he'd submited to my will you can dowload the Destiny and Ragnarok music packs from...

RAGNAROK:  http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/tap/downloads/ragnarok.zip

DESTINY:  http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/tap/downloads/destiny.zip

A few quick notes.  Ragnarok is the more 'dark' of the two and was designed with that theme in mind.  It's not called Ragnarok for nothing (ragnarok, the norse version of armageddon).
Destiny is a more up beat music pack using 'techno-dance' style music.  That might sound odd (the sentence, not the music :p ) but it does actually flow well in the right mission.

Whats your source d00d?  Ragnarok is a VERY well put together piece of music.

EDIT: Nevermind, read the readme.txt! :)

It's from Spec Ops 2's Operational Briefing scenes.  Cut, pasted and editted before being sequenced into the final product.

Glad you like it. :)

I wish i still had that game.  It was fun, but hard. :(
It's a fact.  Stupid people have stupid children.  If you are stupid, don't have sex.  If you insist on having sex.  Have sex with animals.  If you have sex with an animal.  Make sure the animal is smarter than you are.  Just encase of some biological fluke you and the animal have offspring, they won't be as stupid as you are.   One more thing.  Don't assume the animal is protected.  If the animal has a condom, or if female some interuterian device, insist they wear it.  Help stop this mindless mindlessness.  Keep your stupidty to yourself.  This message was brought to you by the Committee of Concerned Citizens that are Smarter than You are.

Wow, this is very good! Fits into the war atmosphere of FS2 very well.

Here is one I resampled for FS2; it will be used in a few of briefings in The Procyon Insurgency:

Hey, I actually happen to like deuteronomy. :mad2: :p

It's one of the few tracks that fit with a 'darker' mood.  It's also more homeworld style than any of the others in the game, and I happen to like that since I'm a hardcore HW'er.

The Spec Ops series is great, but admittedly SO2 is hard compared to the others.

SO2 didn't get favorable reviews from what I have seen, though.

And I also like Deuteronomy a lot; there aren't really any of them that I really don't like, as each conveys a particular mood and is appropriate for different types of missions. ;)

True.

There where a few favourable reviews, but not that many.  It's probably because SO2 was more close quarters than the originals and it was difficult.  But still, not bad really.
