Gosh, Macs (don't worry not a rant). They store stuff in many and multiple different places. You may have to mix some of those files with the .jars in a whole different (number of) folder(s).

I don't even know how I'd go about that. I would play minecraft on windows, but it kept crashing so I stuck on Mac.

If it crashes in windows somethings probably not set up right.

I haven't even tried mods in windows... so IDK what I didn't set up right. I know there are some other people who have problems with minecraft in windows, too.

If it doesn't work then I guess it's no longer relevant that I mention I forgot to say delete the META-INF in minecraft.jar when adding mods. :nervous:

Just FYI I do follow the directions I can find.... ah well, doesn't seem like anyone here knows too much about minecraft mods.
If I get desperate enough I guess I'll ask the minecraft forum crowd.

I told you exactly what is needed for Aether Mod, I even went as far as telling you what not to replace if you want to keep it un-broken, but since it's on Mac I can't help since I explained how to do it for Windows. Which you said doesn't work at all.

What it meant is know enough to fix problems like the one I have.
Anyway, now minecraft seems to not want to work on Mac even. I wonder how long it'll be before I get too frustrated...

if crashy on windows, try setting the render distance to anything but "far". that solved Hades's crashyness.

Whilst I'm all for cool npcs, this Enderman sounds like it might get in the way of productivity. You're not going to see them until you see them, so how're you going to know where to avoid looking? And what will they do to mob grinders? If they just warp to you when you run...

I'm also curious to find out whether they can track you if you warp away.
[16:57] <CommanderDJ> What prompted the decision to split WiH into acts?
[16:58] <battuta> it was long, we wanted to release something
[16:58] <battuta> it felt good to have a target to hit

Nothing happens if they're in your screen. Only if you aim the reticle/crosshair on their face. Also Notch mentioned he does not want it to be a NPC which makes gaming less pleasant for the player, so I assume it won't move around blocks of your buildings.

Ah, alright. That's more reasonable then. Previous concerns aside, they do sound like they'll be a cool and mildly scary addition to the game.

I finally got the Aether mod to work. :D

But they got a whole new version again since this morning, needing a very different way of installing... (Just kidding!)

On another note, if someone needs specific tools or resources, let me know. I know there's some railroad projects needing iron and such, I'll gladly donate/help. I may in the long run set up a trading station where people can hang up signs with requests or offers to facilitate easy trading when two people aren't online at the same time. A sort of live message box. ;)

edit: and it went down just when I got myself some spare time to relax.  :hopping:
