Finally got a 'real' road to connect my 'Keep' and 'Fort', started putting up a few signs to differentiate as well. Even with the lowering of the terrain around the Fort I still have to dig through mountains to connect several bridges. It's definitely starting to look great though. A lot of details added, small places of interest, all I need to do is replace a few of the trees that I could not avoid and detail the bridges.
Returning to my Keep after almost a week of absence I have to admit I'm pretty proud of my works there already.
As said earlier, I still need to do a lot of interior design and make the courtyard a little more like one. Hope to receive some help and tips on how to do that well.

Wonder if I should start making a huge bridge over the sea across Trashmania 2 and my Fort, for some reason I can't get enough of making large skybridges over chasms. Plus it'll look glorious.

Furthermore, several Pits of Dooms on the edges of the terrain have been fixed, and seeing as there's a actual road to traverse, I doubt unsuspecting visitors will find their sudden deaths as easily as they could earlier ;)

I also hope to have a global warp soon as it's quite a walk from Spawn to my area, till that time there's plenty to do however. I could potentially make a larger road through the wilderniss towards the more populated areas, something i'll have to plan out a little.

Anyway, being at work here I really look forward to be home and continue my work on my area!

That would be firespawn. I led him up there and it seems a good distance from your base, although it might be close to that big underground tunnel you have.

Like kyad said there's only a couple of warps atm and they don't get handed out like candy. I'd just make a rail connection to the nearest line for now (which is probably the same line I'm on, but you have a bigger distance to cover :\)

Alright, I noticed your main road goes perfectly to my fort as well =) Just make sure to pass the style we'll use and I'll build some of it on my end tonight. Still at work for the coming 5-6 hours, so take your time ;)

I brought back a ****-ton of glowstone from my recent trip(s) to the Nether, but I haven't managed to find any Nether Ruins yet, and I need to find some of those in order to get to The End.  :doubt:

If anyone misplaced some tamed wolves recently, I stumbled across a pair just now.  They're at the town/domes end of Shade's rail, where it intersects with another rail.  If you turn right at the "Pin Balance Heights Project" sign and walk along the unfinished rails, you can't miss them.

While I'm thinking about it, were you planning on laying more tracks around that area at some point, Shade?  There are a bunch of lit tunnels that I was having fun poking around.

Shade isn't active on the server. Uncompleted rails are not part of the original system. Lot's of people around there, no idea whose it is.

I would appreciate it if someone would give me some suggestions for a floorplan for my castle. Maybe. :nervous:

I think I was getting Shade and Swantz confused there. :p It'd be his northern rail line that I'm talking about.

How the hell they managed to get out of their minecarts and walk down the unfinished track idk.

Probably the same way that a pig managed to get into a minecart near Pred's house, and subsequently poofed my own minecart into nothingness when I bumped into it. :D

Indeed.

I finally learned why my dirt roof was staying just dirt: you need grass to grow grass.  A quick dirt bridge over to the cliff fixed that.  I'm actually starting to get some reasonably cool ideas as I keep working on my floating wooden boxes, things like a rooftop garden and another rooftop patio and other fun stuff.  It probably won't be much to look at from the outside, but when you cruise around the server, you realize that plenty of other people have the market cornered on that. :D

Been working on the aesthetics and a little 'refuel station' between Trashman's territory and my own cause there's plenty of sprinting to do from his warp point, this is available to all and will be refilled occasionally. Also planning to put a little wheat farm up. When I get home I hope to make my side of the large bridge-road look well and different to his, we'll see how it turns out. I noticed there's plenty of details throughout my territory that i need to add or fix, like small plans I waited with in favor of other. Nonetheless we're getting there. ;)

For a railroad to function properly, is redstone neccesary? If so, anyone interested to help extend the rail line to somewhere in between of trashmania and my territory for dual purpose? Hope to hear if anyone's willing and able to. :)

Not really... the booster tracks need power, and people usually use redstone torches for that, but using switches (flipped to the "on" position of course) doesn't require any of the rare-ish redstone dust to craft, and just as effective.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill
