bah, you can't compare a mech and a... mecha lol, sure a veritech or any robot from Nadesico would rule the BT ( let's not mention the Gunbuster lol)

I didn't mention this originally, Venom, because its not important for a render. Its an engineering issue.

So when the mech has no power, the toes remain flat somehow? And this thing is so lightweight that a little bitty hinge like that is all that's needed? From a simple engineering perspective, you can't do that. Try it with something as light as Legos, it won't work (I know from experience). Try it with something as heavy as steel, and you've got some serious problems.

The assault Mechs could probably take em..
Atlas, Stone Rhino, Kodiak, Dire Wolf...

mmh, nope, no way. those things can dodge swarmers of two dozens of missiles, so there's no way a mech could hit one of those. Btw, you've noticed FASA ripped some designs from robotech? :D ( glaug--> marauder, for exemple)

Hmm, it's not like I don't know anything about engineering. Ok, one year of STI won't make an engineer out of me, but still I know quite a few basics.
Btw, the toes are made of two parts, dunno if you can see it on the render.

They have missiles of their own, especially the Kodiak....
That and these things are 100 tons or over...
Extremely heavy armor....

Yeah, and besides, somebody filed a lawsuit against FASA for ripping the designs. I forget who. Anyways, they're not official anymore.

And personally, I think a Stone Rhino with Gauss might be able to take them..

Oh yeah, and BattleTech tanks kick ass too :p Fun fun

from a render art point of view its a cool mech (regret convinceing venom to do one but to late now :D) but from engineering perpective the waist if you can call it that ona  mech looks weaker than an 90 year granny  with a zimmer frame
