Oh, come on, you're complaining about watching walking, babbling homoerotic televisions play with giant mutant psycho killer rabbits on the astroturf under a sun that for some reason looks exactly like the Devil's face?

With a living vacuum that looks like it got stolen from the set of a 70s sci-fi B-movie about the horrific results of mad doctors toying with nature?

OK, so I can sorta see that. Freaked the **** out of me when I first saw it with my friends...

Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Nukes are an effective deterrent for rational leaders of normal nuclear nations. For people like OBL, they're just another weapon. THAT is why they're unsafe. Move past the Cold War, man! :ha:

They do keep smallpox, why do you think our government is buying vaccines for it, although what you say is quite silly, to use it against aliens would not require infecting a planetery population and theres a very large chance it wouldnt effect them. A nuclear warhead is the only thing between us and them, whether it be a near earth asteroid or a alien warship.

But if you look at the probabilities of aliens and asteroids, and then of nuclear-armed madmen, I think that madmen are more likely.

Or Nuclear armed alien madmen that live on asteriods :D

Anyway, I thought this thread was supposed to be about technology. What's so high tech about a guy dressed up as a big purple Dinosaur? Even though he's very irritating.

Just a question to those accross the pond (from the UK); Does Barney's accent sound as irritating to you as it does to us (mind bogglingly irritating beyond belief)? I would say that he is the principal cause of 90% of anti American feelings here because that he's set the steriotype of how an Average American would sound.

I have never actually heard the Barney accent (only seen some pictures of the guy), although most people in the world sound annoying to me, so my opinion wouldn't mean much. :p :D

There are many, many better reasons to be anti-US than "because we talk funny". If people wanted to hate a group of people for their funny accents, the French would be the most despised people on Earth...

Wait a minure, bad example...:D

And he doesn't particularly have an identifiable accent in the first place. I'd think, if there was a globally recognized "U.S." accent, it'd be a country drawl or summat, not what sounds like a mixture of too much oral anesthetic and a bottle of Valium.
