Duncan Jones, Source Code
It's not exactly ****ty but it's not really great, don't see it.

Okay I mean I guess I can spare a few more words, not as good as his previous and mostly-excellent film Moon, not really full of any gaping flaws, just brought down by lots of nagging plot holes and some weird technobabble and janky pacing and a too-saccharine ending. I'm glad it was made though, it's a high-concept SF movie in an era of really terrible action-SF movies. Keep rocking, Duncan Jones.

going to go get excited to see hanna now

Well, Moon is an incredibly had act to follow. That was some truly awesome sci-fi at work. Not flawless, by any stretch of the imagination, but still bloody good for a director with no previous feature film experience.

Re: Duncan Jones, Source Code
I thought Source Code was actually quite good.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

A few of my movie-nerd friends have been raving about it, but I'm not the movie-nerd type, so I'm not really interested.  Hell, seeing "Source Code" used as the title of a movie made me facepalm somewhat. :p

Same here. I haven't seen it, but i can tell from the previews is that it has nothing to do with developers in pre-compilation phase of making software.

Re: Duncan Jones, Source Code
Anyone who gets hung up on the title is a terrible sperglord! It's a military operation, you don't seriously think Operation Phantom Thunder was about ghostly thunder, do you?

No, though I did have to look up "sperglord" to figure out what the hell you were talking about. :p

I dunno, I feel like maybe people should go see this movie. Maybe it'll be an awesome ride if you don't rankle at sloppy use of quantum mechanics.

I maintain that the pacing went all to hell and the ending was dumb, though.

Would be best if the last five minutes were chopped off the end

Re: Duncan Jones, Source Code
Agreed, the ending was a little cheesy.  They could have taken off the last few minutes and it would've been perfect.

Re: Duncan Jones, Source Code
Wow tutta.
It's my opinion that computer lingo for the name of a movie not about computers or software is something that's pretty alien to do (not to mention different degrees of misleading).

Let's imagine pretty woman was called A+. While we're at it, we'll call a movie about time travel source code.

Im only hung up on the title making me cringe and nothing else. It appears to be decent exciting sci-fi movie that i do want see regardless.

You absolutely should be.
I will ask that you explain yourself. Please do so with the clear understanding that I may decide I am angry enough to destroy all of you and raze this sickening mausoleum of fraud down to the naked rock it stands on.
