It is indeed. :)

I'm really looking forwards to it. Although it looks like the voice that claims to have killed hundreds of time lords in the Series trailer isn't The Silence as I'd assumed earlier.

I'm heavily dissuaded by the title of the episode being "The Doctor's Wife".

It's that which is so interesting about it to my mind, because it doesn't seem to be referring to River in any way, I think it's referring to the woman he talks to in the trailer. Guess we'll find out next week though :)

Gaiman wouldn't be writing a River Song episode. Those tend to be Moffat's work.

That goes double for something that was meant to be a season 5 episode that was postponed for mainly budgetary reasons.

Well, whether he likes it or not, it's going to happen. That's why most Forums come with a Spoiler tag, so that people who don't want to know don't have to look.

He should bloody well know that considering River Song's catchphrase is "Spoilers"....

There's a difference between posting something with spoiler tags and going into a fan screening and posting the exact plot online before the episode even airs.  There's just something dishonest feeling about it, especially if NDAs are used.

I can't say I blame him. I'd be tempted to say "No more fan screenings till you permaban this twat" :p

In my opinion, the best of the series so far, utterly enjoyable episode :D

Spoiler:
The expulsion of the House was one of the few moments in recent TV that have had me punching the air, and I loved the Steampunk doctor with his goggles on.

I am not sure I am happy with the venom the doctor used, it still feels out of character

Spoiler:
I got the impression the TARDIS was supposed to kill House

and it is a theme that is starting through this series that when the doc is confronted with an entity or group that is "evil" or at least on the darker side of grey he is happy to let and/or encourage their death rather than look for ways to detain them, remove them to a place they can't cause harm, redirect their attention or remove their ability to cause harm.

Spoiler:
Yep, back to old school Doctor Who.

Fact is, it was made perfectly clear that this creature had murdered many of his people, killed several Tardis' and was perfectly prepared to kill the Doctor and his companions and, worse still, it tried to kill the TARDIS. This is not David Tennants doctor, there's no agonising over decisions any more, he made the ultimate decision and threw his people into destruction, and I think he's a lot more comfortable about where he stands and what he is prepared to do to achieve his goals. Maybe 10 would have got all emo about it, but 11 ain't that kind of guy, he's not NICE, he's the Doctor, and you don't screw with him.

As for The House, it's dead enough to suit the episode, but not so dead that it can never return ;)

Edit: I have to refer to it as 'The House' because 'House' makes me think of the Tardis being taking over by Hugh Laurie....

That's fair enough I suppose

Spoiler:
No body so cant write out the death cert yet lol.  If and when It come back I wonder what form it will come back in and what name it will use.

Also I hope they don't use the talking to the TARDIS thing again, as intriguing and in some ways informative as it was, to do it again would loose that which would be a shame.

Spoiler:
Yeah, I think they tried to stress the fact that this was the only time they ever meet (the Tardis states as much, and since it remembers the entirety of Space and Time, that's pretty final) and that it was impossible to make the Tardis talk again, otherwise you'd reduce a great idea to something resembling Holly from Red Dwarf.

Spoiler:
The Doctor gave The House a chance to not go back on its word. Despite all that he had done he still gave him a chance. I've never been a fan of the whole Good = Lawful Stupid that some people seem to think it should mean.

Besides it wasn't the Doctor who killed him. It was completely up to the TARDIS to decide.

Spoiler:
Though apparently he can talk *to* the TARDIS, not that is a particular surprise. The TARDIS always seems to be listening to what the occupant says (usually when convenient in the plot).

Spoiler:
Well, like Darvos reminded 10, The Doctor never kills anyone himself.

You take ordinary people and fashion them into weapons.

I loved the ep, couldn't help but think of an insidious Portal 2 when House was messing with the TARDIS
